DC Pierson is the author of the ALEX-award-winning novel “The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep And Never Had To,” which is published by Anchor/Vintage. He’s also a member of the popular Internet comedy group DERRICK Comedy, whose sketch videos have been viewed over 150 million times online. Their first feature film “Mystery Team” premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and is available on DVD from Lionsgate. He’s commemorating the first anniversary of his book’s release with the second volume of “Songs For ‘The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep And Never Had To,’” a free mix of original songs by amazing artists. DC Pierson is the author of “The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep And Never Had To”, his first novel, which is being published by Vintage / Anchor on 1/26/10. He’s also a member of the popular Internet comedy group DERRICK Comedy, whose sketch videos have been viewed over 100 million times online. Their first feature film “Mystery Team”premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, is currently touring the country, and will be released on DVD by Lionsgate in May of 2010. He curated these original songs by his friends (including Jason Anderson, and Donald Glover as “MCDJ” of DERRICK/NBC’s Community – on which DC has also had several cameo parts) because, as we all know, the best part of doing anything is making a mixtape to go along with it.
