JOEY JOESPH – TRIPLE FANTASY…TAKING IT EASY is at Top 200 Radio Now!!!

I’ve gotta tell you about my newest add, by JOEY JOESPH!! I can’t wait for you to hear this one. Joey is an old pal of mine, from back in the days when he fronted the magically wonderful indie-pop band Pomegranates. (Remember them?? They used to sleep on my floor in NYC all the time, ahh very fond memories!!) Well, Poms mostly parted ways a few years ago, but Joey’s never stopped making music – lately he’s been doing it under this moniker with an intentional misspelling (that does NOT say “Joseph”, it’s “Joesph” – don’t let autocorrect tell you otherwise!!) Anyway, this slightly psychedelic rock record is really something special. It’s actually a DOUBLE album, made up of two parts (that’s what that funky album title is all about: Triple Fantasy is part 1, then Taking It Easy is part 2 – but they’re being released together, and promoted to radio as one unified release.) Sometimes it reminds me of Brian Wilson’s Smile (which Joey actually did a full cover album of a few years back); other times it strikes me more like the Velvet Underground, or Paul McCartney, or Florence & the Machine. A pretty wide variety of influences combining into something I just know you’re gonna love!

TRIPLE FANTASY…TAKING IT EASY

Eyebrow Palace

Multi-instrumentalist, home-recording enthusiast, public access personality, DIY dreamboat… Joey Joesph wears many hats and looks pretty good in all of them. He’s been releasing self-produced records, often in the form of concept albums ranging from dark disco to Cronenbergian post-punk, since 2014 to consistent critical acclaim. Joey was named Cincinnati’s “New Artist of the Year” of 2017, and in August 2020 he released his entirely self-recorded cover of the legendary Beach Boys album, Smile.

In 2006 he co-founded the indie psych-pop quartet, Pomegranates, who released 3 EPs and 5 full-lengths before their retirement in 2015. They toured nationally with the likes of Wye Oak, Phantogram, Islands, The French Kicks, and others.

More recently Joey has started a new project with long time friend and illustrator, Jack Sjogren, called JJ & The Mood (Trailing Twelve Records). Their first single, “How Many Times,” was played heavily on KCRW, and was dubbed their “Today’s Top Tune” of June 3, 2022. Joey serves primarily as songwriter and producer for this project, with Jack as the face and voice. They share songwriting and instrumentation duties.

In September 2023, Joey releases Triple Fantasy and Taking It Easy, his 9th and 10th solo albums respectively, together as a double LP on 180g gold vinyl via his own Eyebrow Palace Records. He brought several friends on board to help realize this ambitious project, including former bandmates Devyn Glista and Pierce Geary, sister Alisa Cook, Bailey Miller, former co-Pomegranate Isaac Karns, fellow home-recording wizard Ben Burroughs, Michael Oliva (The Harlequins), Caleb Groh, and JJ & The Mood partner Jack Sjogren.

A nostalgia fueled rock ‘n’ roll TV show is also in the works, and will be available to watch on Eyebrow Palace TV.

**note the intentional misspelling: second word is JOESPH, not JOSEPH!**
